Summer Alexa July 30, 2006

Jessamy (commonly known as BatWeasel to DF regular readers) had her baby last week. Born um on wednesday or tuesday (the week blends together, maybe she’ll comment to give us details) she weighs 8 lb 15 oz. They returned from the hospital around noon today, and all it seems are doing well. I’ve been promised pictures and unlike certain former employers, will probably get them, I’ll post them when I have some to post.

Hehe I went for a run today and crossed 3 different bridges. I’ve almost rebuilt my computer and the apartment seems to be getting better. Work is going well and there is a church picnic at a water park tomorrow. I guess that is about all for now.

Well yesterday was my errand day, I’ve got my driver’s license reprinted with my new address (found out why I didn’t show up in the system, though I’ll need to go back and get it redone so it doesn’t say “Arron” *sigh*). Got a new bank account, and had an eye exam so I could get new contacts. Right now I’m actually wearing a trial pair of month day and night disposables, not sure if I’ll actually go with them but they offered me a pair to try so I figured I might as well.

Oh and going back to the computer, I’ve decided (or rather a bad bios upgrade did) that its probably a dead motherboard so I’ve sprung for a new mb that happens to have a 64 bit processor (though not dual core, I’m not that wealthy yet).

Went for my first run last night, ended up going longer than I’d realized and I found the worst possible way up the biggest hill in the area too. Yippee for 3 mile first runs even if I was moving pretty slow.

Ok well I moved my stuff into the apartment today but am spending the night at Jason’s all the same because I realized that there was no way I’d be able to sleep on the futon unfortunatly. We watched Hitchhiker’s Guide which is why I didn’t get to arranging another option. Oh and I’m currently watching the Monty Python “Spanish Inquisition” episode which I have heard quoted so many times. The bathroom now looks quite nice in the new place and I intend to bother them more about the sun room. Oh and 2 key boxes appear to have disappeared which contain all of my CD-roms for things like games and windows (which is a problem since a certain visitor crashed my computer before we moved it hehe). Oh and work went well last week.

Well the other thing I could be doing is going to bed, but I’ll do that next. Tomorrow I start at my new job as a code monkey for Aquent and hopefully by the end of the week will have an apartment that is ready for me to move in (long story short, the last tenant who was evicted left it in poor shape). Pictures of the apartment will be posted once its a bit closer to its repaired self.
