MST3k Found September 28, 2007
Posted by Aaron in : General , 2commentsSo many moons ago I saw an episode of MST3k on vhs borrowed from an aunt and uncle that I really enjoyed. Recently I’ve been methodically completing my MST3k collection and I finally figured out the title of the episode: The Magic Sword. Now to decide which episode start with in my introduction of a couple friends to it. Currently I’m thinking Mitchell, then Diabolik or 12 To The Moon and from there, playing it by ear (but avoiding red zone cuba)
hummingbirds! September 18, 2007
Posted by BatWeasel in : General , add a commentJerod and I put a hummingbird feeder out in our front yard this year and tonight we had a whole passel of crazy hovering dive-bombers in our yard. They are very noisy and feisty and just generally entertaining. Ours didn’t seem the least afraid of us, they let us get within about 5 feet of the feeder to take pictures.
I don’t have them neatly organized on a webpage yet but you can see a few of the little guys here and here.

However this one deserves direct mention because I intend to quote it when given a chance, because like the character in the comic, I too believe that somewhere at the edge of the bell curve is the girl for me (No I don’t spend my weekends making graphs, I prefer to do that on tuesday evenings).

Posted by Aaron in : Life , add a commentI’m suppose to be asleep right now. I wonder how many posts I’ve started with that sentence? Anyway, this time I’m not because I didn’t go right to bed when I had about a 5 minute window of tired and also because I’m worried about squeaker. This morning when bringing him inside I noticed a patch of fur and skin appeared to be a different color, I ignored it, since come morning he was scheduled for a haircut and if it didn’t go away it would be easier to figure out. This evening I plopped down to watch tv and was petting him and discovered that he now had a rather pronounced bit of swelling in that spot. Vet wasn’t open today, so I’m taking him in as soon as I wake up in the morning.
In less worrysome news, I learned a new way to tie my shoes this evening from a tv commercial no less… I can’t remember what it was about though, cell phones perhaps? I think I’ve found a new herding cats, though not even as memorable.
